The KF Postgraduate Studies Fellowship and Post -Doctoral Fellowship in Korean Studies

 

The Korea Foundation (KF) offers the KF Postgraduate Studies Fellowship and the KF Postdoctoral Fellowship for research students and scholars in Australia and New Zealand. This scholarships and fellowships are given by the KF, but are administered by the Korean Studies Association of Australasia (KSAA).

 

KF Postgraduate Studies Fellowship

 

(1) Eligibility:

Students enrolled (or to be enrolled) in a research degree (Research Master or PhD) in a subject related to Korea in 2010 at a University in Australia or New Zealand. Korean citizens are excluded unless they have permanent residency of a foreign country.

 

(2) Amount

A$ 20,000 per annum.

 

(3) Deadline of submission of application

31 October 2010

 

 The outcome of the application will be announced in December 2010.

KF Postdoctoral Fellowship

 

(1) Eligibility:

Foreign scholars who have received their Ph.D. degrees in a subject related to Korea but do not currently hold regular faculty positions. Applicants must have received their Ph.D degrees prior to the start of their fellowship research, but not more than five years earlier. 

During the term of the KF Postdoctoral Fellowship, Scholars should be based at a university in Australia or New Zealand.

Korean nationals are eligible to apply only if they have permanent residency status in another country.

 

(2) Deadline of submission of application

31 October 2010

The outcome of the application will be announced in December 2010.
